The Daily Post Photography Challenge: The Beauty Of Black And White

Ever since doing my post on Mariam, I realized how beautiful black and white photos were.  I never thought of trying to take black and white photographs or even editing my photographs to black and white.  Today I wanted to try something new, so I am going to share some black and white photos. I think that they turned out really awesome and I hope that you think so too.  Below are my favorites.

  1. Lovely photos! I just love the butterfly, the contrast of the sharp wings against the unfocused surroundings. Beautiful, and so well done. B n W adds that extra oomph to it. 😃👌 I love B n W, too, but often feel I can’t pull it off. I do like looking at B n W photos though.

And thank you so much for the link! 🙏😘 A wonderful evening to you. ✨

    1. Thank you ever so much! Me too! She was actually perfect for the photo. She was originally black and white, but I felt that the color in the background was a bit distracting, so I feel that making that photo black and white really helped her be noticed 🙂

These are excellent, especially with your control of depth-of-field!

Oh, these are so great I can hardly pick a favorite among them. Maybe the frog or the squirrel. Beautiful.

The B&W really works well here. All fabulous images! I particularly like the frog and the butterfly.

    1. Thank you! The frog is one of my favorites because his eyes seem to jump out at you in black and white 🙂
