Pardon My Stare…

A few days ago, when we were strolling through the zoo, we came upon a young male peacock. He was strutting proudly, displaying his gorgeous arrangement of feathers for all to see. Suddenly, we were overcome with the sound of a dozen or so female peacocks rushing to him and singing their praises. Overcome with pride, he gloated loudly, making strange squawking/humming noises while also intensely vibrating his back-feathers and attracting more attention. My family and I quickly pulled out our cameras to get a picture, though it was difficult, because the wind was blowing and his feathers were nearly always in motion.

It took a while, but I think the result is definitely worth it.
